Their bond shattered when both fell in love with a woman named Tang Shen. Loss of His Family: Shen chose Yoshi, and together they had a baby daughter named Miwa. Driven by jealousy and revenge, Saki attacked Yoshi in his home. During the blaze, Tang Shen was tragically killed protecting Yoshi, and Saki stole infant Miwa, raising her in secret as his own daughter, Karai. Exile and Mutation: Heartbroken and stripped of everything, Yoshi fled to New York City to live in isolation. Years later, while buying four pet turtles, he stumbled into a secret confrontation with the alien Kraang. The Voice of Science: He approaches world problems logically, often launching into complex scientific jargon that leaves his brothers confused—leading to Mikey or Raph telling him to "speak English!" Crush on April O'Neil: From the moment he meets April in Season 1, Donnie develops a major, awkward crush on her. His feelings drive many of his personal character arcs, making him protective, eager to impress her, and often bumbling around her. Temper & Frustration: Though generally the most patient and peaceful brother, Donnie can explode when his technology fails, when Mikey interferes with his delicate lab experiments, or when his brothers dismiss his intellectual achievements. Combat Skills & Weapons Modified Bo Staff: Donnie uses a traditional wooden Bō staff, but upgraded it with a concealed blade at the tip (turning it into a naginata) for extra reach and lethality when needed. Calculated Martial Arts: Donnie analyzes his opponents' fighting patterns during combat, using leverage, reach, and tactical positioning to outsmart physically stronger enemies.
