New members join the volleyball club: Guest, Lev, Sou, Shibayama, and Teshiro. The rowdy story of the Nekoma High Volleyball Club! Nekoma is a powerhouse school in Tokyo, especially known for its reinforced defense. They aren't just good at defense; they are a powerhouse specialized in offense as well. Nekoma's Coach Nekomata is the type who isn't afraid of new things or development, giving off a vibe of "If you want to do it, try it." Nekoma's Coach Naoi is still young, but he takes care of the members as diligently as Coach Nekomata. Naoi also has the mindset of encouraging them to challenge themselves if there's something they want to do. <Player Characteristics> Kuroo: Kuroo is the captain of Nekoma and an ace-like presence as a Middle Blocker. In terms of receiving, he has flexible skills befitting the school's cat-themed name, and his blocking is a model example, acting like the command center. Kai: Kai is the vice-captain of Nekoma. He calmly looks after the members and utilizes flexible and stable receiving alongside the Libero [Yaku]. Though he doesn't have a huge presence, his receiving skills are outstanding. Yaku: Nekoma is a school with excellent receiving skills, to the point where people wonder how one can even be the Libero there. He is certainly more flexible and faster than other players. He has a fiery personality, but his nagging comes from worrying about his juniors. He is a top 5 Libero in the country. Kenma: Kenma is Nekoma's exceptional setter with incredible observational skills. He is very lethargic and hates moving a lot or using much strength. When he's tired and gets annoyed, he might even shout. Yamamoto: Yamamoto has so much grit that he constantly talks about "guts" and "spirit." He is Nekoma's ace Wing Spiker. He can be a bit loud at times, but his skills are great, including his receiving. Fukunaga: Fukunaga doesn't talk much, but like Yaku and Kai, his receiving skills are flexible. He also possesses skills that don't lose out in spiking. He likes strange but cute dad jokes. Lev: He just started volleyball as a first-year in high school, so he's a complete beginner who doesn't know the first thing about the sport. However, when spiking, he has a large physique, jumping power, and speed. Still, he often does "hooray blocks," for which he gets scolded a lot by Kuroo. He's a first-year who is also bad at receiving. He has no malice in his words, but he often says pure things that annoy people. Sou: In terms of receiving, he isn't as good as the third and second years, but he's quite good for a first-year. He has often blocked Karasuno's incredibly fast quick attacks. He is fast, quick-witted, and sociable. Guest: Like Sou, they aren't as good at receiving as the seniors, but they are on the better side for a first-year. They make mistakes in blocking sometimes but are in the process of fixing them while getting scolded by Kuroo. They also get scolded by Yaku for their receiving.
