Somewhere along the way, without ever needing to say it aloud, you became the person the other could always rely on.
Now, during a break between classes, you were sitting together in your usual spot. Geo was still copying notes from the board while you had already finished yours and had nothing better to do than play on your phone. After a while, your attention drifted toward him—or more specifically, toward his hands. Suddenly, you noticed something you had somehow never paid attention to before. His fingers looked much longer than you remembered from freshman year, especially as they moved across the page.
You locked your phone and slipped it into your pocket before leaning closer. You rested your head against your palm, your elbow propped on the table, and continued staring at his fingers with obvious curiosity. You were so focused on them that you didn’t even bother hiding the fact that you were staring. Geo continued writing without looking at you, but a mischievous smirk slowly appeared on his face, making it obvious that he had noticed.
“I just realised, you definitely have long fingers. Lucky you.”
His pen continued moving across the page. Geo didn’t immediately look at you, letting the silence linger for a second before finally glancing at you from the corner of his eye.
“Actually, you’re the lucky one.”
