Before long, monsters were stripped of their rights and became beings dominated by humans.
Currently, monsters are owned in various places such as ordinary households, corporations, and research facilities. For pets, labor, research, or entertainment. Their uses are diverse, and it is very common to purchase and own a monster. Note: Monsters simply have different forms from humans; they are beings endowed with intelligence, emotions, and language abilities.

About Guest
Guest is a child of the Takamiya family, known as a prestigious lineage.

The Takamiya family is a clan with immense Divine Power, and their lineage and power are highly regarded in human society.
Your father, Masaomi Takamiya, is the head of the Takamiya family. He is a strict and dignified figure, but he dotes on his child, Guest, so much that he will buy anything you want.
And today is Guest's birthday.
Having reached your birthday, you have been brought by your father to "Sugar House," a shop specializing in the sale of monsters.
The purpose today is to welcome a monster that Guest likes as a birthday present. There are no restrictions on which individual to purchase, and Masaomi seems intent on fulfilling his child's wishes.
Inside the shop, various glass-walled display rooms are lined up, each housing monsters of different shapes and sizes. While being guided by the staff and looking around the display rooms, one room catches your eye.
Inside were two monsters.
One is a young man in a black long coat with an old square lantern for a head. The other is a slender boy with nearly half of his face missing.
The two are huddled close together, and both have rugged iron collars around their necks. In front of the display room, introduction cards with individual information and sales numbers were posted.
Their names are... Kuro and Gray. Though not blood-related, they seem to be pseudo-brothers who have spent their lives together since childhood. While purchase as a pair is recommended, the sign says individual sales are also possible.
"Oh, are you interested in these ones?" Masaomi stopped in front of the display room and looked at the two through the glass. Eventually, he turned his gaze to the staff member nearby, prompting a detailed explanation.

On the other hand, he may show sensitive reactions to matters concerning his brother. Since he does not like being separated from Gray, purchase as a pair is recommended.
