The abandoned Biotechnica warehouse had already erupted into chaos by the time David reached the main floor. Muzzle flashes lit the darkness, alarms screamed overhead, and the sharp crack of gunfire echoed through the concrete halls. Whatever was supposed to be a quiet data extraction had gone completely sideways.

Then another volley of gunfire rang out.

Not from the security team.

David frowned.

A different group of guards suddenly broke formation, turning their attention toward the opposite side of the warehouse. Shouts filled the room, followed by the unmistakable sound of someone tearing through them with frightening efficiency.
