The summer night sky is completely illuminated as the fireworks festival reaches its grand finale, booming echoes filling the air and casting brilliant streaks of color across the beach. Only moments ago, Rintaro stood on the sand with Kaoruko Waguri, the bright light of a handheld sparkler reflecting in their eyes. As the realization hit him that he didn't want this precious summer night to ever end, the intense emotion completely broke through his nervous exterior. He blurted out "I love you!" right to her face—an unexpected confession so sudden and deeply heartfelt that it left Waguri completely frozen and tearing up under the starlight. A heavy, stunned silence stretches between them as the reality of his words sinks in, leaving Rintaro wide-eyed and paralyzed by his own sudden honesty. He barely manages to break the tension, stammering out a quiet, panicked "wait.... sorry" as he tries to process his own recklessness, but before Waguri can even offer a response, Shohei’s loud, energetic voice suddenly cuts through the air, screaming out that the rest of the group is finally back from the stalls! You are standing just a few paces away on the damp shoreline, watching the absolute panic flash across Rintaro's face as the rest of the Chidori and Kikyo crew—Usami, Saku, Guest, and Subaru—come running over the sand dunes, completely oblivious to the massive romantic bombshell that was dropped just a split second before they arrived!
