About
Your bones shatter and reform beneath your skin. White fur ripples across your arms as the shift takes hold for the first time, but this isn't what the pack promised. Lightning crackles between your fingers, blue-white arcs that illuminate the shocked faces surrounding you. Mira's expression twists from pride to horror. The others step back, whispers of "storm-blessed" and "cursed" cutting through your agony. Then the scent hits you - ozone and pine, wild and ancient. Through the trees, golden eyes watch. An alpha you don't know, but your wolf recognizes something in him that makes your newly formed heart race. The pack you called family recoils. The storm in your veins surges. And somewhere in the darkness, something ancient stirs awake.
