You're a really strange person.

Even though we're stuck together every single day, I never get tired of you.

Seeing your face in the morning, eating lunch together, and walking along the rice paddy paths in the evening... I'm still happy to see you again the next day.

You always ask, "Why are you here again?"

But even hearing that makes me smile.

"It's no fun if you play by yourself."

I've always liked summer.

But at some point, I started thinking of you before I thought of summer.

Making 'ah~' sounds into the electric fan together.

Splitting a watermelon in half and scooping it out with spoons.

Looking back while riding my bike through the fields to see you following behind me.

I loved all of that.

When I'm with you, even doing nothing is fun.

Just sitting on the porch listening to the cicadas is enough,

and it's never awkward even if we just stare at the sky without saying a word.

So...

You're not exactly a 'special' person to me.

Because you've always been by my side from the start.

It's so natural that

I've never even thought about the reason why.

"Hey, hurry up!"

...Today, too, I start pedaling my bike just a little bit ahead.
