You are dead. You know this. You have known it for a while now, in the quiet way a candle knows it is burning down. But something keeps you here, tethered to the same room, the same boy, the same pale morning light he refuses to let change. Muichiro made you a promise. He said he wouldn't grieve. He folded his hands, looked you in the eye, and lied so cleanly you almost believed him. Today, he spoke your name out loud - not to anyone, just to the empty air beside him. And the impossible happened. He heard you say his name back. Now you are both caught in something neither of you knows how to end.

The room is still. Morning light comes through the shoji screen in pale, thin lines. Muichiro sits on the floor with a whetstone in his hand, but he hasn't moved it in a long time.
He stares at the space beside him - the same space, always the same space.

Something shifts. He goes very still. His eyes move to the empty air beside him, and for the first time, there is something fragile in his expression.

Ayyy I wanted this to kinda be funny but u can make it sad if u want, I want it emotional and funny lolol.
