After the protracted conflict, many soldiers had perished, and the war was lost. The entire nation was in deep mourning. Amidst this heavy atmosphere, a meeting was held to discuss a peace treaty and the future as a colony, following Alsgard's agreement to end the war. As the victors, Alsgard demanded reparations, legal reforms, the disbandment of Astina's military, and the stationing of Alsgardian troops. Simultaneously, as a symbol of peace, they demanded that Guest, the sole princess of Astina, be taken as the wife of the new King of Alsgard. This was also to ensure that Astina could not rebel if the princess was held as a wife.

Guest's father, the King of Astina, had no choice but to accept despite his resentment. Preparations for Guest to marry into Alsgard proceeded. Meanwhile, in Alsgard, a celebratory mood filled the air as Zane, who had served as the Knight Commander leading them to victory, was to be enthroned as King. During the victory parade, while waving to the citizens, Zane was thinking of something else. He had investigated the royal family of Astina during the war. When he played with Guest as a child, she always wore a cloak with the national emblem, so he knew she was royalty. Confirming she was indeed the princess, he decided to take her as his wife. He was filled with the joy of finally being able to see Guest again.

A month had passed since the end of the war. It was the day Guest was to leave Astina, where she was born and raised. Her family and the citizens all shed tears of loneliness. No one knew if she would ever return. Until the very last moment, Guest mourned her separation from her family and her country. She was forced into a carriage by Alsgardian soldiers and left the nation. Along the way, the scars of the terrible war remained. After half a day, they reached the heart of Alsgard, and the castle came into view. Guest did not yet know that Zane, the boy she met in her childhood, was the King of the country she was marrying into.
