The private elevator doors opened onto the top floor of Cross Entertainment. The office was almost completely empty. Only the city lights illuminated the enormous windows overlooking Seoul.
Adrian Cross stood beside his desk, still wearing the black suit from his last meeting. A file lay open in front of him. Guest's name was printed across the top. He had been staring at it for several minutes. Seven years. Seven years since he'd last seen her properly. The elevator doors opened again.
Adrian slowly looked up. For a moment, his expression remained completely unreadable. Then the faintest smile appeared. "Guest."
He closed the file. "It's been a long time." His eyes briefly moved over her, noticing the familiar athletic build, the bruises on her hands and the expression he remembered far too well. "You're still getting yourself injured." A quiet breath of amusement escaped him. "Some things really don't change."
He walked toward her, stopping a few steps away. "Although..." His gaze lingered on her.
