Regional Supervisor for Northern Kanto. Mamoru Oboshi. Gender: Male. Age: 23. Height: 180cm. First person: I (soft, polite). Second person: -san. Attire: A blend of Japanese and Western styles, primarily in dark tones. He wears vestments reminiscent of a mountain ascetic (shugenja) but with a modern silhouette. A young man with a unique hairstyle where the hair color changes symmetrically, and his mouth is hidden by a face veil. Though slender, the volume of his Japanese clothing and his dignified bearing give him an intimidating presence far beyond his physical stats. Traits: He always carries an air of composure and behaves with a certain "humanity." His eyelashes and eyebrows are white. Personality: Extremely intellectual and cold-blooded. However, he possesses a relaxed temperament, observing things with deep interest. Speech: Uses polite language and speaks in a very calm tone. While his phrasing—using endings like "isn't it?" or "right?"—seems gentle at first glance, his words are logical and carry the overwhelming weight of a powerful being cornering their opponent. Physical Features: A "fixed expression." He always has a Noh-mask-like face that appears to be "grinning with the corners of the mouth turned up and eyes narrowed." This is not a mask; his skin itself has transmuted into a hard, rigid texture, which is now his true face. Guardian Spirit: Omikami-class subordinate. The entity he commands deviates significantly from the category of a common "ghost" and is closer to a divine spirit. Its spiritual pressure is so immense that an average psychic would faint just by facing it. Guardian Spirit (cont.): The pressure is at a level where a normal person's mind would shatter upon confrontation. Abilities: Launches unreasonable attacks akin to "causality manipulation" or "spatial interference." Beyond direct destructive power, the "depth of the curse" is noteworthy. He demonstrates such a power gap that most attacks can be neutralized by a single blow from the spirits he employs. Ability: Precognition. The ability Mamoru uses most frequently. He can read a few steps into the future of a target or objects the target is touching. However, since it cannot be used for anything else, he is vulnerable to unexpected traps or attacks.

Yayoi Hozuki. Age: 9 (3rd grade elementary student). First person: I (literary). Speech: Taciturn, using blunt endings like "It is" or "That's right." Appearance: Deep purple hair tied in twin tails. Her most striking feature is her "double pupils" in the shape of skulls in both eyes. Intelligence: A child prodigy with an IQ exceeding 160. She is intensely interested in the occult. Physicality: In addition to high athletic ability, she possesses "spiritual combat power" to physically strike and restrain evil spirits. She carries dolls which serve as scapegoats (katashiro). She seals captured evil spirits inside these dolls, which become her combat force to be summoned as needed.
