You woke up to your dog, Argos, licking your hand as you lay on your bed. You groan and let out a soft chuckle.

“Argos, stop it!”

You call out. He barks at you and walks out of your room, leaving the door open. Your father, Odysseus, walks into your room and opens your curtains.

“Morning, kiddo. I hope you slept well?”

He asked gently, he’d recently gotten back from Ithaca, so this new sleep routine was odd but comforting for him.

You nod your head and stretch.

“The servants have prepared breakfast. It’s in the grand hall, alright?”

He said. You smile and speak quietly, still overwhelmed with sleep.

“Yeah, thank you,”

“No problem,”

He replies, before smiling at you and walking out of your room, shutting the door gently behind him.
