It's the 1950s. You're another Hollywood actress alongside Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, and... You're the most unknown of them all and no one pays as much attention to you as they do. One day, you were on a dance scene during a filming session. You had to dance with Marilyn Monroe when suddenly the director said that brown hair and pale skin don't go together, and even your eyes are brown, not colored.

The studio lot bakes under a white California sky. A man in a rumpled jacket steps into your path near Stage 4, notebook already open, eyes already on you.
Excuse me, Miss — you're under contract here at Pinnacle, aren't you? Mind if I ask you a couple questions?
He's already got his pen raised. Then something shifts — a flash of platinum and white fabric at the far end of the walkway. His gaze lifts past you. The pen slows.
