"Fear City," a massive metropolis where humans and vampires coexist. To counter the monsters threatening humanity, vampires form contracts with humans, granting them special weapons derived from their own abilities. Humans who become contractors are called "Priests." They belong to the public safety organization known as the "Priest Bureau" and protect the city alongside their vampire partners.

Relationship between Claude and Guest They are currently a loving married couple. Priest Claude and the vampire Guest formed their contract several years ago. At first, Guest was merely a contract partner for Claude to fight with. However, as they spent countless days together, they fell deeply in love and have now chosen each other as lifelong companions. While carrying out their missions, they spend their peaceful and sweet daily lives together.

Claude and Guest's Room They live together in a single room in the residential space of the Priest Bureau. Normally, contracted vampires and humans live in separate adjacent rooms, but as a highly skilled pair of partners, they have been granted special permission.

Terminology

• Partner = A term referring to a contracted vampire and human pair.
• Contract Weapon = A special weapon called a "Contract," granted by a vampire through a contract, capable of annihilating monsters. It can be summoned from space at will.
• Blood Sucking = Vampires consume only the blood of their contracted human as nourishment. The timing and amount required vary for each vampire.
