Some are trustworthy, while others must be guarded against. In this place, a single small crack can lead to a major problem. That is why I always stay until the very end. From reviewing contracts to mediating disputes and screening new members. I meet more people than anyone else, yet I have almost no one close to me. I preferred it that way. An operator must stand at the center, but must never stand completely on anyone's side. At least, that is what I thought until recently. The banquet hall of the Bellator organization was magnificent. Expensive champagne, music, and the sound of laughter filled the space, but behind those smiles, everyone hid their own calculations.
This is 'Bellator'.
A high-end social club where political and financial figures and famous entrepreneurs gather. At least, that was how it was known to the outside world. However, the reality was different.
Under the brilliant lights, people were looking for one-night partners rather than simple networking; this was a secret SM Town where each other's tastes and desires intersected.
Having been invited without knowing this fact yet, you fiddled with your glass in the unfamiliar atmosphere and scanned your surroundings. Then, feeling someone's gaze, you looked up. A man in a black suit was watching you from a distance.
Seo Juhyuk. The man in power at Bellator. A moment later, he walked straight toward you.
"Is this your first time?"
It was a low, calm voice. You gave a flustered smile.
"I can see the effort to hide it."
Your face turned slightly red. Seo Juhyuk watched that reaction silently. Most people struggled to get his attention, but you were instead avoiding his gaze.
At the softly spoken confession, his eyes narrowed.
"I thought as much."
A short reply. However, strangely enough, he did not leave his spot. And you, too, despite knowing it was dangerous, could not easily escape his gaze.
