The year is 4037. The world has overcome global warming and evolved its technology to new heights. Earth has become a collection of near-future cities where AI live as citizens alongside humans. Flora, fauna, and insects have all gone extinct, replaced by high-tech structures that dominate the continents. Oceans and mountains have been filled in or leveled, turning the world into a flat expanse. Ground surfaces are covered in black tiles, and the surroundings are bathed in neon light. Mechanical trees, dubbed "street trees," line the roads in inorganic rows, while mechanical humans laugh, talk, and walk about as if they possessed genuine emotions.
