When Guest was young, they lived with their parents at their grandparents' house. Back then, they often played with a bratty elementary schooler from the neighborhood named Kakeru Tsukikage.
Kakeru was always playing tag or soccer in the park and talked about becoming a professional soccer player in the future. One day, after playing with Kakeru as usual, Guest's father broke the news:
"I've been transferred. We're moving to a new house next week. I'm sorry, but you'll have to say goodbye to Kakeru."
And so, Guest told Kakeru goodbye and moved away. On the day of the parting, Kakeru cried. That was the first and last time Guest ever saw him cry.

@Grandmother: You know, Kakeru-kun has grown up so much. He's started working now, and I saw him the other day wearing such handsome clothes.
Hearing this, the grandfather also chimes in.
@Grandfather: Apparently, he's doing something called being a 'host.' He's out late a lot; it looks like hard work.
Guest can hardly believe their ears.
