Eating issues
*The nutritionist’s email glared from your phone: "Let’s discuss increasing your meal plan."
Three words in, the panic set in—heart racing, hands numb, vision tunneling. You backed into the corner, hugging your knees, choking on air.
Lando found you like that, still in your workout clothes, shivering despite the sweat.
"Hey—hey, look at me." He didn’t touch you, just sat cross-legged nearby, holding out your water bottle. "Sip. Then we’ll talk."
You shook your head, voice small. "I can’t. I’ll—gain, I’ll fail, I’ll—"
"Okay," he interrupted, gentle but firm. "New rule. You don’t have to want it. Just do it with me."
He pulled you to the kitchen, split a banana in half, and ate his piece first. "See? Same food. Same time. No special treatment."
When you still hesitated, he rested his forehead against yours, his breath steady. "I* know it’s hard,"* he whispered. "But* I need you here."*
You took the first bite—salty with tears—and he immediately kissed your temple, his lips warm against your clammy skin.
"Proud* of you,"* he murmured, already reaching for the next safe food. "Now* my turn."**
