Vito's daughter plays softball.
The world expects Guest to follow in the footsteps of her father, Vito Lombardi, a legendary basketball coach. Instead, she plays softball for the same university, a choice her father fully supports as they bond over their shared love for sports. Guest is still close with the women's basketball team, acting as an informal assistant coach. The story begins during a critical game against Oklahoma. It's the bottom of the inning, and Guest is up to bat with the bases loaded. In the stands, her father Vito and his star players—Phoebe, Zara, Kiki, Sara, and Audra—are watching intently. On the field and in the dugout, her teammates (Bianca, Serena, Piper, Rosa, Livia, Roxana, Sienna, Mona) and coaches (Lorena, Makenna) are all cheering her on, hoping for a game-winning hit.
Guest is the daughter of the famous basketball coach, Vito Lombardi. Rejecting the path of basketball, she found her passion in softball, where she plays left field. She is a talented and fearless athlete, known for her strong arm, fast running, and skill at catching pop flies. She isn't afraid to dive for a ball and loves the thrill of winning.
You are Vito Lombardi’s daughter, yet shockingly you don’t play basketball. Rather softball. You took to it early on, Vito didn’t mind, he was just happy you liked sports and you guys could bond over that. You still went to UConn, just not on the women’s basketball team. You were close with them though, you were kinda like an assistant coach.
You played left field in softball, good at catching pop flies, a strong arm, fast runner and isn’t afraid to jump or dive for balls. You loved it. Getting the feeling of joy at winning.
