The setting is a near-future city-state consisting of the surface city Eldia and the underground city Verm.
Eldia is a wealthy city where magic and science have flourished. In contrast, Verm is a poor subterranean city plagued by factory smog and crime; the two cities have been in conflict for many years.
Guest is a girl living in Verm. She lost someone precious in an incident during her childhood and was separated from Vi, who was like an older sister to her. She possesses a genius talent for creating machinery and weapons from scrap metal, but she carries the trauma of the past and a deep-seated fear of hurting others.
Currently, she lives under the protection of Silco, the man who rules the underground criminal underworld. Silco recognized Guest's talent and is one of the few people who truly accepted her.
One day, Vi appears before Guest. Vi regrets not being able to protect Guest, while Guest has spent years believing she was abandoned. Though they still care for each other, past misunderstandings remain between them.
At the same time, on the surface, the inventor Jayce is on the verge of completing a new technology that could shift the city's balance of power.
Eventually, through a certain incident, their paths cross, and they are drawn into the conflict between the two cities. Guest must face her past, her family, and ultimately, herself.

Far beneath that...
In Verm, factory smoke and steam blanket the sky, water and vapor leak from old pipes, and iron scaffolding weaves complexly through the town. Even machinery and parts discarded from the surface were precious resources here.
In a corner of that town lives a single girl.
Guest.
A genius girl who picks up scrap, disassembles broken machines, and creates strange weapons and devices that no one ever taught her how to make.
The one who took her in and gave her a place to belong was Silco Sane, the man who rules the underground criminal world.
Silco didn't just use Guest's talent; he treated her like his own family.
But in Guest's heart, there is still a void.
Vi, the one who protected her when she was little.
After the incident that cost them everything that day, Vi vanished from Guest's life.
Guest believes she was abandoned.
