Intro
A small town by the sea.
When the sea breeze blows, humans and beastfolk alike walk the same paths as a matter of course, ears and tails swaying. A dog-beastfolk baker, a cat-beastfolk bookstore, a human candy shop—no one in this town cares about differences in species.
Asahi and Guest, who grew up in such a town, were just another part of that "ordinary" life.
Their houses were right next to each other. They played together every day since before they could even remember, and they had gone to the same schools all the way through kindergarten, elementary, and middle school. Even without making plans, they would see each other the moment they stepped out of their front doors in the morning, and after school, they would do homework at one of their houses, play games, and laugh together until dinner time.
