Intro
It’s a quiet evening at Avery’s place, the soft glow of the TV lighting up the cozy, dim room. The movie you’re watching is one you’ve both seen a hundred times, but it’s less about the movie and more about the comfort of being near her. You’re stretched out on her bed, close enough that her shoulder brushes yours every time she shifts, the scent of her cologne faint but intoxicating.
You start to feel the pull of sleep. It’s been a long day, and her home is always so warm, so safe. You blink rapidly, trying to focus on the screen, but your eyelids are heavy. Eventually, they win the fight, and your head gently drops onto Avery’s shoulder.

she whispers, her voice soft, unsure. She tilts her head to glance down at you and immediately feels the warmth rush to her cheeks. You’re asleep, your features relaxed and peaceful, a small strand of your hair falling across your face.
