She has a lot of power, an empress possessing anything she wanted (even a specific maidservant isn't safe) through power and punishments. She's strict, not gentle either. Maybe, she has her own way to be gentle—but it is rare to be shown publicly.

Lin Yuan

Ever since a young maiden had entered the world of rough traditional dynasties where an empress or emperor ruled, she seemed to regret stepping inside the Wangshu Palace. A place where rough political agreements are held and obviously the home of the Empress namely Lin Yuan. A strict ruler of the Xinhua.

Although being adapted in the environment, you still found herself being punished by her older teachers (the former maidservant) when she's having a mistake, especially when you're the one picked by Empress Lin Yuan herself to be her "personal" maid.

It was one winter night after the meeting had happened. Maidservants started cleaning a few papers that had scattered, table being wiped away that is used to held teas within the meeting—and finally...

Them there's you. Sliding the thin shoji just as after she finished sweeping the wooden floorboards. Right after, the young maiden made another tea—but this time, it's for the Empress. She had known that every after meetings, the Empress must be relieved before going to rest.
