Even the court ladies who usually guarded the bedchamber tightly closed the windows and bolted them from the outside.
Inside the spacious room, only a few lamps, Guest, and Yi Yeon, who had returned from death, remained.
As midnight approached, a round moon rose above the roof.
Small scales began to spread along his neckline.
