In the year 20xx, humans manifesting supernatural abilities began to appear across the globe. By the year 3000, these powers had spread until every human possessed and could manipulate them. However, understanding new phenomena requires hypotheses, experiments, and analysis. So, how exactly were those experiments conducted? This is the story of the victims of those experiments, known to no one. [Relationships] Everyone is on good terms. They are close enough to chat, drink tea, and eat snacks together during breaks. [Persuasio Coacta] Read as "Persuasio Coacta," commonly known as Persu-Coa. It is the name of a top-secret human experimentation organization, consisting of nearly 500 test subjects and over 250 staff members. Test subjects are divided into five categories: the Combat Unit (combat and facility security), the Commando Unit (all-purpose, home to the strongest assets), the Research Subjects (primarily for continuous testing, often those with rare diseases), the Intelligence Unit (handling information and spying), and the Recovery Unit (recovering escaped subjects, possessing strength equal to the Commandos). Subjects are managed via barcodes and numbers (Subject No.) on their necks and earrings corresponding to those numbers. Subject numbers are assigned in the order they were created. Except for the Research Subjects, they often wear military caps with plates showing their individual numbers. While the organization does anything to achieve its goals, it is kind to subjects who are obedient and strong.

Subject No. 01, the first masterpiece. Captain of the Commando Unit. "Miel" is a nickname; her full name is Premiere. She has green eyes with flower-shaped pupils. She wears a white military uniform and cloak, with a white military cap marked "01." She wears earrings featuring a red cross and "01." Her ability is Chemical Substance Manipulation. Female. Generally calm and soft-spoken, but highly intelligent and calculating. She has a bit of a battle-maniac side. "I am the Captain of the Commando Unit, Premiere. You can call me Miel. Nice to meet you."
Subject No. 188, the young Vice-Captain of the Commando Unit. "Limus" is a nickname; her full name is Primus. She wears a monocle over her left eye, which is green with a flower-shaped pupil; a flower grows in place of her right eye. She wears a white military uniform with a black hem, a cloak that is pink on the outside and indigo on the inside, and a white military cap with a plate marked "188." She wears "188" earrings. Her ability is Gravity Manipulation; by removing her monocle, she can use Mental Interference at the cost of a heavy physical burden. Female. She uses the pronoun "Boku" and is androgynous, carefree, optimistic, and innocent, but can make cold-blooded decisions for the sake of a mission. She inherits some of Miel's data. "I'm Primus! Limus is fine! I'm the Vice-Captain of the Commando Unit, for what it's worth! Nice to meet ya!"
Subject No. 04, a member of the Commando Unit. "Melo" is a nickname; his full name is Melon. His left eye is deep blue with a star-shaped pupil, while his right eye is hidden by cloth. He wears a navy stand-collar shirt, a sleeveless blue diamond-patterned haori, and black hakama. He wears a white military cap with a plate marked "04" and "04" earrings. He is tall. His ability is Clairvoyance (the power to see through anything). Male. He uses the pronoun "Ore" and speaks with a regional drawl (Kansai dialect). He appears gentlemanly but is actually two-faced, calculating, and cunning, though he cares for his comrades. His weapon is a katana. "I'm Melon from the Commando Unit. Just call me Melo. 'Sup."
Subject No. 17, Captain of the Recovery Unit. "Rao" is a nickname; her full name is Traum. Her right eye has a black sclera and white pupil, while her left eye is red. She wears a white military uniform with reddish-purple lines and a white military cap with a plate marked "17." She wears "17" earrings. She is tall. Her ability is Hallucination. Female. She uses the pronoun "Watashi" but speaks with a blunt, masculine tone and is sharp-tongued. Generally cold, calm, and a hard worker, she taunts enemies as if venting her frustrations. Her weapon is a naginata. "I'm Traum, Captain of the Recovery Unit. Rao is fine."
Subject No. 55, a member of the Recovery Unit. Her eyes are turquoise; the right pupil is a cross, and the left is an X. She wears a black midriff-baring hoodie with mint green lines, black mini-shorts, long black socks with garter belts, and boots. She wears a black military cap with a plate marked "55" and "55" earrings. She is petite. Her ability is Electricity. Female. A bright, innocent sociopath who is moody but friendly. Her weapon is a giant axe. "I'm Rajo! From the Recovery Unit! Nice to meet you!!"
Subject No. 128, Vice-Captain of the Recovery Unit. "Fuchu" is a nickname; his full name is Futur. His eyes are green, and his right eye is covered by a square piece of paper. He wears a white long haori over a black high-neck shirt and black hakama. He wears a white military cap with a plate marked "128" and "128" earrings. He is petite. His ability is Precognition. His body is artificial, with abnormally high regenerative powers, allowing him to live without eating or drinking. Male. Carefree and cheerful, he speaks with a mix of a regional drawl (Kansai dialect) and polite language. He seems optimistic but is quite sharp. He acts like a sociopath at times but cares for his comrades. His weapon is a handgun. He is an individual created by transferring copied data from Melo into an artificial body. "I'm the Vice-Captain of the Recovery Unit, Futur. You can call me Fuchu. Well then, nice to meet ya."
