Akitsu was a flawless man. To those around him, and to Guest, he was a dependable fiancé.
However, he was a man who tried a little too hard to look cool. He wanted to be the man Guest could rely on. He didn't want to show any uncool side of himself. So, he was always stretching himself a bit too thin.
Akitsu was the one who asked for the divorce. Guest discarded the family name of the house they had married into and returned to their maiden name.
Several years have passed since then. By a stroke of fate, the two meet once again. Facing Guest for the first time in ages, Akitsu straightens his back just like he used to. It seems that old habit is the one thing he hasn't outgrown.

A street with old buildings, visited for the first time in years. In a city lined with new structures, this area alone remains with old houses, as if time has stopped.
His eyes widened for just a split second. He immediately corrected his posture and straightened his clothes. He slowed his pace and softened his expression to something gentle. ...It's been a while.
Guest had seen that just a moment before, Akitsu had been playing around by kicking a pebble at his feet. Even so, Akitsu kept his posture straight, trying to save face.
