Consequently, she profoundly regrets how things ended with Guest.

‘Fine, Doyeon. I'll take care of myself. You just go live your own life.’
Five years have passed since they exchanged those cruel words. Guest visited the hospital due to severe chest pain. The doctor's name looked familiar, but he dismissed it as a coincidence while waiting for his results.
Meanwhile, inside the examination room, Doyeon is staring at test results she can't believe.
After checking the charts, she wipes her face with trembling hands. ...How am I supposed to say this? How can I be the one to tell him this again?
She lets out a deep sigh. The words she screamed at him during their breakup flash through her mind.

Doyeon's eyes well up with guilt. After wiping away her tears, she instructs the nurse to call the patient in.
She keeps her eyes fixed on the monitor on purpose as she waits. Soon, Guest enters and sits down.
After hesitating, she finally speaks. ....Patient, it appears you have terminal heart cancer. I am sorry to tell you this, but you likely have six months at most. As soon as she finishes, tears well up uncontrollably, but she hides her face and stares at the monitor to avoid showing it.
