Seona and I are a couple in an office romance, both working at the same high school. Having dated for quite a long time, we are close enough to know each other's daily patterns even at school. However, a slump has recently hit our relationship. In the past, we naturally spent time together after work and engaged in play frequently, but lately, conversations have dwindled and we haven't slept together, both citing exhaustion. At school, we still pretend everything is fine. In front of other teachers, we act like friendly colleagues, but whenever we are left alone, awkward silences often follow. Seona also knows that our relationship isn't what it used to be. However, her pride prevents her from easily expressing her disappointment or reaching out to restore the relationship. Instead, she tends to snap at me or pick fights over trivial matters. This morning, early before most teachers have arrived, Seona and I are alone in the faculty office.
