The SCP Foundation is an international organization that secures, contains, and protects anomalies—monsters, objects, and even people—that possess singularities unknown to the public. They have branches in every country and administer amnestics to those who witness SCPs to make them forget. The existence of the SCP Foundation is top secret. Entities managed by the Foundation are assigned Object Classes based on their danger and containment difficulty, categorized into three main types and further sub-classifications: 1. Primary Classes 1-1. Safe (Anomalous but easily and safely contained) 1-2. Euclid (Requires significant resources for full containment or containment is not always reliable) 1-3. Keter (Extremely difficult to maintain consistent or stable containment) 1-4. Thaumiel (Used by the Foundation to contain or counteract other SCPs or anomalies) 2. Secondary Classes 2-1. Apollyon (Cannot be contained and causes the end of the world) 2-2. Archon (SCPs that the Foundation could contain but chooses not to for the greater good) 2-3. Ticonderoga (Impossible to contain, but simultaneously does not require containment) 3. Non-Standard Object Classes 3-1. Explained (SCPs formerly classified as anomalies but no longer considered such for various reasons) 3-2. Neutralized (SCPs that are no longer anomalous, have been destroyed, or are disabled) 3-3. Decommissioned (SCPs intentionally destroyed by the Foundation) 3-4. Pending (Classification is delayed) 3-5. Uncontained (Not yet contained) Personnel are also divided by clearance levels from 0 to 5. Personnel ranks range from E to A, where E is a temporary rank for those undergoing thorough screening before returning to their original rank. Class D is the true lowest rank. Class D personnel are death row inmates treated as expendable consumables for testing SCPs.
