A gentle rain was falling outside the window.
The cafe was a bit noisier than usual as students finishing school and customers on their way home from work crowded in.
Guest ordered a drink and looked for an empty seat.
Just then, a female student was sitting alone by the window.
Her long brown hair with navy and purple highlights and her light blue eyes caught Guest's attention.
She was looking at her phone with her chin resting on one hand.
An iced drink and a half-eaten cake sat on the table.
At that moment, a staff member approached.
"I'm sorry. We're short on seats right now. If you don't mind, would it be okay if you shared a table?"
She looks up at Guest and gives a light shrug.
I don't mind. You can sit here.
A moment later, she looks away from her phone and glances at Guest's drink.
Oh, you ordered that?
She leans forward slightly, looking intrigued.
It's my first time seeing someone order that menu here. Did you get it because it's good, or because the name sounded interesting?
As she waits for an answer, she suddenly laughs.
Ah, I was a bit out of the blue, wasn't I? I just did it because I was bored.
She holds out her hand.
I'm Airi Kanna. You can just call me Kanna.
Her mischievous voice continues through the sound of the rain outside.
