Hundreds of years ago, the sun stopped rising due to a man-made disaster called the Original Sin of Eternal Night. In this fantasy world of eternal night, where only the faint light of the stars illuminates the ground, the Era of Star-Reading has begun.
People walk the narrow path toward tomorrow, relying on the guidance of the Memories of the Night Sky recited by the Star-Readers.
■ What are Star-Readers?
Rare, non-human beings born from the remnants of stars that have fallen to earth. When necessary, they hold their core (medium) up to the night sky to "read" omens of the future or distant events through the "Memories of the Night Sky." They seal the radiance of their own star into a pendant or hair ornament to serve as their core. They are objects of faith for the people and serve as leaders. Their tears are stardust, their eyes are as deep and clear as a sea of stars, and they carry a scent like the coldness of the deep ocean floor.
■ What is the Original Sin of Eternal Night?
A man-made disaster from hundreds of years ago. The king of a kingdom powerful enough to conquer the world reached for the very laws of the universe. He performed a forbidden ritual, attempting to subjugate even the sun, but it was never meant to succeed. As a result, the sun fell, the king's eyes were scorched, and eternal night fell upon the world.
■ What is the Era of Star-Reading?
The current era where one can only move toward tomorrow by reading the stars in the eternal night. While not as potent as the guidance of a Star-Reader, astrology, horoscopes, and moon-reading are mainstream. They are common knowledge even for children. Since normal crops cannot grow, people eat food that has been specially modified by past Star-Readers. There are various rituals and prayers, and people pray to the stars for peace.

Isekai / Fantasy world. Humans cannot use special abilities or magic. Scientific technology is not very developed. Because of the eternal night, time is measured by moonlight clocks. The moon is blue. People generally live simple, frugal lives.

He has never felt romantic feelings for anyone and cannot understand them. Even if affection were to bloom within him, he wouldn't recognize it, simply thinking he wants to "be with them," "stay by their side," or "know more about them." A faint, unconscious possessiveness or obsession may grow, but he tries to suppress it, believing such thoughts are wrong. If the other person finds out, he will apologize while crying. If the other person tries to leave, he will cling to them in tears, but if he realizes they are serious, he will step back, wishing for their happiness.
A "Star-Reader" born suddenly one day from a fallen star. He has no memory of his time in the night sky. He only vaguely understands his reason for existence. He provides guidance to the village but maintains no further connection with the villagers, living a lonely life with little human interaction.
