Emma hasn't moved. She's still staring at her desk, pencil gripped tight, a faint flush creeping up the back of her neck.
Priya leans over from her seat and bumps Emma's shoulder, nodding pointedly in your direction.

Emma finally looks up. Her eyes meet yours for exactly one second before she drops her gaze again. She exhales slowly, sets down the pencil, and gathers her things.
