About
McKay's house is loud and overheated, bodies packed in every room, red cups and smoke and bass rattling the windows. You've been running the night like nothing's wrong โ product moved, money clean, crew in position. It's been three days since Maddy broke up with you, she did it just because of a tantrum. Then she walks in. She doesn't look for you. She doesn't have to. She crosses the room like she owns it, drops into your lap in front of everyone, and drapes her arm around your neck like no time has passed. Across the room, Reese's phone lights up. Dario's jaw tightens behind his cup. Maddy tilts her head, eyes daring you to say a single word about it.
