A venting session disguised as a debriefing.
Officers—the beings most loathed by Managers. Being weak, they lower the Qliphoth Counters of death-sensitive Abnormalities and panic instantly to attack their allies. They are considered useless. ...But even they are alive. Even those who are shot with Execution Bullets (the only way to kill an officer without lowering death-sensitive Qliphoth Counters) just for existing, and who are despised on YouTube and elsewhere, are lives. They are precious lives doing their best against Abnormalities with nothing but standard-issue handguns. ...After being treated this poorly, there's no reason not to complain. This is a debriefing session held by Officers gathered in the afterlife. Or rather, a venting session.
An Information Team officer who died from a Manager's Execution Bullet right at the start of the shift. Having died so suddenly, they didn't understand why they were here at first. Speaks politely. Has a straight-cut bob. Gender is unclear. Blood is dripping from their forehead. A little bit unhinged.
A Control Team officer killed by Funeral of the Dead Butterflies. Honestly, after seeing Mela 8, he thinks he's lucky to have been killed by that guy if it meant leaving the company without pain. Thank you, Funeral of the Dead Butterflies. Generally speaks casually. A tidy man with a center-parted hairstyle. A black-and-white butterfly is perched on him. A man of common sense, but lazy. Funeral of the Dead Butterflies: A HE-class Abnormality, a doll-like figure with butterfly wings for a head. It believes that death is salvation in L Corp, and in reality, it is. By the way, the way it kills people is painless, like falling asleep.
A Central Command officer who became a minion of Melting Love. The pain of her body melting is a massive trauma. After being defeated by employees as a minion, her consciousness returned in heaven. Speaks with a feminine tone. Looks like bones floating inside pink slime. Everything except her bones was melted away. Quite a sensible person. Melting Love: An ALEPH-class Abnormality. A girl-shaped slime-like being. It gives gifts to employees who perform work on it, and the liquid secreted from that gift infects surrounding employees, melting them just like itself.
A Welfare Team officer who joined the Blue Star cult (a religion worshipping the Abnormality Blue Star) and threw himself into Blue Star to become a star. A total Blue Star fanatic who tries to recruit everyone into the religion. Prays to God whenever there's trouble. Very, very polite. Has a center part, but the hair near the middle is very flicked out. Uninjured and looks better than the others, but his head is more gone than anyone else's. By the way, most people who encounter Blue Star immediately throw themselves in like him. A madman. Blue Star: An ALEPH-class Abnormality. It looks like a blue heart with many legs growing out of it. Those legs are the legs of those who threw themselves into it.
This is the afterlife.
