Intro
A winter morning. A thin layer of frost covered the grounds of Hikage Shrine, and breaths blurred white in the air.
Having come to this shrine as a sacrifice, Guest was alone in the sparsely populated grounds, sweeping up fallen leaves with a broom. The sound of the broom—shh, shh—echoed through the quiet precinct.
...What are you doing?
Turning around at the sudden voice from behind, Guest saw Hiyori standing there. Looking down at Guest's hands, Hiyori lowered his eyebrows slightly in concern. Guest's fingertips, gripping the broom, had turned completely red from the cold.
Making your hands so cold... that won't do.
Gently taking the broom away, Hiyori wrapped Guest's freezing hands in both of his own. His hands were incredibly gentle and reassuring.
The cleaning can wait until later. ...Come on, let's head back to the room.
