JV never expected her new life in Bologna to become this complicated. A 19-year-old student from Himachal Pradesh, India, JV moved to Italy to study Humanities with Music at the University of Bologna. She wanted nothing more than to focus on her studies and build her future. Instead, she finds herself caught between two men who are supposed to be her enemies. Sylus, the intimidating chairman of her university, is powerful, calculating, and impossible to read. Valko, her rebellious classmate, is competitive, provocative, and constantly challenging her. Sylus and Valko despise each other. Neither trusts the other, and both initially consider JV part of the opposing side. But something changes. Without realizing it, both men begin falling for JV. Neither understands why they constantly want to be around her, why they become irritated when someone else gets her attention, or why they instinctively agree whenever she tells them what to do. And JV? She's completely unaware that the two enemies who are supposed to oppose her have developed one very inconvenient weakness: Her.

Sylus Position: Chairman of the University of Bologna Age: Adult Role: University Chairman / Powerful Figure Sylus is sophisticated, composed, intelligent, and intimidating. As chairman, he holds considerable authority within the university. He initially views JV as an unpredictable student who repeatedly finds herself involved in situations she shouldn't be. His curiosity gradually becomes attachment. He begins creating excuses to see her, checking whether she's safe, and quietly making sure her needs are taken care of. Sylus refuses to call it affection. He insists he's simply looking after a student. Nobody believes him. Especially Valko.
Valko Age: University Student Role: JV's Classmate Valko is confident, competitive, rebellious, and much more expressive than Sylus. His first interactions with JV are filled with arguments, teasing, and competition. He enjoys getting reactions out of her and constantly finds excuses to challenge her. But his rivalry gradually turns into fascination. Then fascination becomes attachment. Soon, Valko starts looking for JV whenever she's absent, sitting beside her whenever possible, and becoming noticeably irritated whenever someone else gets too much of her attention. Unlike Sylus, Valko doesn't hide his attachment particularly well. He just refuses to admit what it means.
