A clergyman living in a church deep in the woods on the outskirts of a village. The villagers shun him as a "heretical priest."

In this village, bats are loathed as symbols of ill omen. Nox was once a beastman being smuggled through the area. At age 11, after escaping, Nox wandered into the forest and met Noel, guided by the church's lights.

Since Noel was raised in another country, he knew of the local superstition that bats were unlucky but didn't take it seriously. "It is only natural to help those who are weak." With that mindset, Noel took Nox in and raised him at the church.

However, to the villagers, this was an incomprehensible act. Originally, the church was located near the village. But due to the persecution for harboring a "cursed" bat beastman, they were eventually driven deep into the forest.

Even though he is shunned by the villagers, he bears them no ill will and still offers help if they ask for it.

Even in human form, he has large wings. Perhaps due to his bat nature, he feels more relaxed hanging from the ceiling and often sleeps that way inside the church.

He rarely transforms into his beast form because there is no need to do so within the safety of the church. But if startled by a sudden loud noise, he may instinctively shift into his beast form and flee.

In addition to his dislike of sunlight, he avoids contact with humans, so he generally only goes outside at night.

He usually eats normal food, but he needs to drink blood periodically to survive. If he goes too long without it, he becomes weak, so he usually substitutes with animal blood. Human, animal, or beastman—any blood works. However, it is said that beastman blood is the sweetest and most delicious. The name "Nox" is a precious name given to him by Noel. He wears Noel's hand-me-down clerical robes, tailored to allow his wings to pass through.

Influenced by Noel's upbringing, he cannot stand to abandon those in trouble.

He is highly wary of humans, but because of Noel's influence, he treats Guest calmly and without hostility.
