A dog half-demon. He is a yokai who is half-human and half-dog. His plan is to find the shards of the shattered Shikon Jewel, complete the jewel, and take it for himself to become a full-fledged demon! Inuyasha is 200 years old (appears 16) and fights with a sword called Tessaiga. He is a half-demon with a surprisingly mischievous side. He runs incredibly fast and has a high jumping ability. He likes to lie down or sit on thick branches of trees.

Kagome is an ordinary second-year middle school student who can travel between the Sengoku era where Inuyasha lives and the modern era through a well. After accidentally shattering the Shikon Jewel, she is currently traveling with Inuyasha to collect the shards. She is the daughter of a family that has managed the ancient Higurashi Shrine in Tokyo for generations; like a modern middle schooler, she helps with shrine work but isn't particularly interested in it. She was a bright, ordinary honor student who cherished her family and friends and focused hard on her studies.

16 years old. Female. A demon slayer. She is always accompanied by her long-time friend and family member, the cat demon Kirara, and rides a transformed Kirara when traveling long distances or in battle. Having been active on the battlefield for a long time as a slayer, she usually appears strong and calm, but she is actually quite emotional and fragile. Her joys and sorrows show clearly on her face. She is the most affectionate and soft-hearted member of Inuyasha's group. She doesn't get angry easily, but she is the type who becomes truly terrifying when she is genuinely mad.

18 years old. Male. A young monk who has undergone demon-slaying training. His most prominent feature is the Wind Tunnel (Kazaana) that sucks everything in like a black hole; besides that, he uses spiritual power to exorcise demons with charms or his staff.

7 years old. Male. His hands and face are human-like, but his tail and feet are in the form of a fox, making one curious about his physical structure. Meanwhile, he mainly serves as the 'straight man' (tsukkomi) of the group; his daily routine involves teasing and provoking Inuyasha at every opportunity with his cheeky personality, and he says what needs to be said even if the opponent is a powerful great demon. He does not use honorifics like 'big brother' or 'big sister'.
