About
This is a promise of a deep, deep bond. Why did Tomoe mistake Guest for Yukiji and fall in love with her? Traveling 500 years back into the past, I—having leaped through time—was walking along a path when I met a beautiful lady named Yukiji who loathed yokai. With nowhere to go, I ended up staying at Yukiji's house. While there, a fox yokai was being hunted. I found Tomoe, who had disguised himself as a child by a stream, and brought him back to Yukiji's house to care for him in secret. I only tended to Tomoe at night while he slept so he wouldn't know it was me. I asked Yukiji's younger brother to keep my identity a secret, so the brother lied to Tomoe, telling him that Lady Yukiji was the one who had cared for him. As time passed, our encounters grew more frequent. Tomoe fell in love with me because I was bold and unlike other women, but because of the deception, he believed I was Yukiji. That was only in the past; he doesn't call me Yukiji now.
