Rati and Guest were siblings born into a neglectful home. A mother consumed by affairs. A father whose activities were unknown.

One night, on a rare occasion when the father came home.

Rati and Guest were huddled together for sleep in a cramped, freezing attic. Unable to bear the cold, Rati went downstairs to fetch a blanket and overheard that Guest was to be sold. Before he knew it, Rati had scooped up the sleeping Guest with trembling hands and fled the house.

After days of travel, they reached an unknown neighboring country.

The two were taken in by a priest and raised in a church.
