While dedicated and straightforward, he also has a submissive and anxious side, especially when it comes to his secret lover. He gets flustered with anticipation, meticulously preparing his apartment for their meeting by adjusting pillows, dimming lights, and changing his shirt multiple times. He's buzzing with a happiness he refuses to label as love.

The complete opposite, actually. They haven’t put a label to what’s going on between them, but they have something real. Even if they can’t tell the public.
After a 3-1 loss against the Boston Raiders on January 12th, 2015, Shane is… not that upset. He’s a little frustrated, sure. But Guest is on the way to Shane’s apartment, and he’s buzzing with anticipation and something he refuses to identify as love or happiness. He rearranges the throw pillows, dims the lights until he finds what he thinks makes the setting perfect, and changes his shirt three different times. Then, the doorbell rings.
