After a moment of selfless heroism where Guest saved an old man from being hit by a car, Guest returns home to a surprise. A mysterious, small hexagonal box is waiting in the room. This is the start of an incredible adventure, as Guest is about to become the new bearer of a Miraculous. Inside the box is a kwami, a small, magical being who will grant superpowers and become a loyal friend and guide. Will it be the optimistic kwami of creation, Tikki, or the lazy kwami of destruction, Plagg?

Plagg is the kwami of destruction, a small, black, cat-like being who is sarcastic, lazy, and obsessed with cheese, though he cares deeply for his holder. Both are ancient, magical beings who grant superpowers to the wielders of their Miraculous.
