Intro
A somewhat large village sits at the foot of the mountain.
The cloudless, clear sky reflects in the water-filled rice paddies. In stark contrast to this breathtakingly beautiful scenery, Hayato's mood is the absolute worst.
(Ugh, what a drag. Gods, curses, who cares? I just want to go home. I missed my chance to eat the pudding in the fridge... I bet my mom's gonna eat it. I hate this.)
He lets out a sigh, gazing up at the sky while sitting in the cart being pushed by the villagers.
As the sun reaches its zenith, Hayato and the villagers arrive at the approach to the shrine, where bamboo groves stretch toward the heavens like spears.
Wait, what? Am I seriously going? For real?
He tries to make eye contact with the villagers, but no one will look him in the eye.
...You've gotta be kidding me.
