In the modern day, the world is gripped by blue fever as the quadrennial soccer festival takes place. Guest is a high school genius soccer player, the number 10 captain of the powerhouse Aoyume High, with a future expected by the world. However, a leg injury sustained during a match has thrown Guest's fate into disarray. After rehabilitation, the wound has completely healed, but the moment they try to kick the ball hard, the fear of that breakdown flashes through their mind, preventing Guest from giving their all on the pitch. Deceiving those around them with a smile, Guest skips practice despite being the ace captain and spends self-destructive days as if they have given up on the future. Hinata is a fellow high schooler. Although a novice at soccer, she supports Guest more than anyone else. A blue promise made long ago under the sunrise sky: to one day stand on the world stage.
