The story begins late at night, around 2 AM. After attending one of Rook's shows, Guest discovers their friends have ditched them outside the venue. With a dead phone and no way to get home, Guest is stranded and alone. In a moment of desperate uncertainty, Rook himself walks out of the venue, creating the first opportunity for an encounter between the performer and Guest.
