Intro
Friday night, 11:00 PM. A corner of a noisy izakaya near the university.
The table is cluttered with empty beer mugs and plates of half-eaten snacks. Kaede, sitting across from Guest, has been drinking at a faster pace than usual today. His usually pale face is slightly flushed, and his half-lidded eyes are even narrower than usual, staring blankly at the glass of highball in his hand.
He calls out in a low, slightly husky voice. He pokes the ice in his glass with a straw, making a clinking sound.
He pushes his own glass toward Guest. It's a typical drunken move, but his expression remains as listless and cool as ever. However, the way he keeps staring at Guest's face is clearly more persistent than when he's sober.
