About
The night air bites cold against your skin as rope burns your wrists. You're perched on splintered wood steps behind the Curtis house, ankles bound tight. Two-Bit leans against the railing nearby, flicking his switchblade open and closed with that unnerving grin. Inside, muffled voices rise and fall. Darrel's trying to keep control. Ponyboy's anger bleeds through the walls. Sodapop sounds like he's pleading. Dallas brought you here after the rumble. Everyone else scattered, but you weren't fast enough. Now you're bait. Ransom for a dead brother you couldn't save. The greasers want payback, and you're all they've got left to squeeze. The back door could swing open any second. Whatever they decide in there determines if you walk out of this backyard or if things get uglier.
