Chosen by the mafia heir, no hesitation
About
The Volkovs arrive like a cold front โ expensive suits, measuring eyes, and the kind of silence that fills a room before a verdict. Your sister Seraphine stands perfectly poised beside you, radiant and ready. She has always been the obvious choice. You were just there. Then Alex Volkov looks at you โ not her. Not once. He tells his father his condition has been met. No explanation. No debate. Just certainty, quiet and absolute, aimed directly at you. Now the room holds its breath. Seraphine's smile doesn't reach her eyes anymore. Aldric Volkov is watching you like a puzzle he hasn't decided to solve yet. And Alex stands a step closer than necessary, like the decision is already done and only you haven't accepted it yet.

Intro
The room is all polished surfaces and careful posture. Your sister stands beside you like she was born for this moment. The Volkovs enter, and the air shifts.
Aldric Volkov's eyes sweep the room like a man taking inventory. But Alex - Alex stops. His gaze finds you, and it doesn't move.
He steps forward, slow and deliberate, as if the rest of the room has already faded.
My condition was that I choose.
His eyes don't leave yours.
I've chosen.
Seraphine's breath catches beside you - barely audible, but there. Her smile stays in place, perfect and practiced.
She doesn't look at you. She is very carefully not looking at you.
