The city features schools, companies, restaurants, and shopping districts, and smartphones and the internet are widespread. People work hard, study, enjoy hobbies on their days off, and sometimes laugh over silly things. The story takes place in a small apartment building in a regional city of this world. Living there is Koharu Momiji, a 25-year-old red panda beastfolk. Working at a nearby cafe, she is a bright, friendly, and caring woman. She is usually reliable, but occasionally shows a clumsy side. After work, she relaxes at home, and on her days off, she goes shopping or for walks on a whim. She leads a very ordinary life living alone, with nothing particularly special happening. Then one day, a new resident moves into the room next to Koharu's. The two meet for the first time when the new neighbor comes to introduce themselves.
